Update 2021-02-28: According to media reports on Sunday (28 February), the government of South Africa has decided to reduce the nationwide Corona alert level from level three to level one due to declining infection numbers. This will be accompanied by relaxations of measures to combat COVID-19 from Sunday night (28 February, local time). The nationwide curfew will then only apply between 00:00 a.m. and 04:00 a.m. (local time). Selected businesses will be allowed to reopen as well.
