Update 2021-03-01: On Monday (01 March), the Turkish President announced that the weekend lockdowns in cities with low and medium infection rates would be lifted. In cities with high and very high infection rates, the lockdowns will only apply on Sundays. In addition, restaurants in areas with low and medium case numbers would be allowed to reopen. A night-time curfew from 09:00 p.m. (local time) will remain in place across the country. Istanbul is considered a city with very high case numbers, while Ankara, for example, only has medium case numbers. The restrictions are to be adjusted to the infection situation every fortnight.
