Update 2021-04-28: According to German authorities on Wednesday (28 April), a ten-day quarantine must be observed after entering the Kathmandu Valley by land.
It should also be noted that the negative test required for leaving the country must be carried out in clinics authorised by the government for this purpose. As of Thursday (29 April), foreigners are not allowed to transit through the international airport.
Due to the current sharp rise in the number of cases, individual districts are imposing restrictions at short notice, such as curfews and lockdowns. Currently, such measures apply in the district of Banke and from Thursday (29 April) also in the entire Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bakhtapur) and Pokhara.
