2021-08-09: On Sunday morning (08 August, local time), at least ten security personnel were killed when clashes broke out with rebels from the Karenni Army and the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force at the border between the townships of Pekon (Shan State) and Hpruso (Kayah State).
