Update 2021-08-12: New Zealand’s borders are expected to open to international travellers from early 2022. According to current plans, fully vaccinated travellers from countries with a low risk of infection will then be able to enter without quarantine. Other travellers will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.
The travel bubble with Fiji was discontinued due to high case numbers in the island nation. From Sunday (15 August), only residents of New Zealand will be allowed to enter from there. A 14-day quarantine will then apply.
