Update 2021-08-25: According to media reports on Wednesday (25 August), the German Embassy in Kabul is again warning of shootings and terrorist attacks in Kabul. Moreover, it is now almost impossible to get through to Kabul airport. Due to the imminent withdrawal of international troops, the situation at the airport is expected to deteriorate further. The withdrawal is expected to be completed by 31 August at the latest, and the evacuation flights from the city could end even earlier.
