Mexico, Earthquake, Level 4: Strong magnitude 7.0 M coastal earthquake at depth 20.00 km – Mexico [Update 1]

Update 2021-09-08: According to media reports on Wednesday (08 September), the earthquake near the city of Acapulco caused damage to buildings and infrastructure in the state of Guerrero and the capital Mexico City. Power outages affected 1.6 million households in the states of Mexico, Guerrero, Oaxaca, and Morales. One person was killed by falling debris in the municipality of Coyuca de Benitez. Landslides and wall collapses occurred in the city of Chilpancingo due to the earthquake. According to Mexican authorities, the earthquake caused only limited damage to infrastructure and buildings.
