Update 2021-10-05: According to media reports on Tuesday (05 October), the authorities of Ahmednagar district in the state of Maharashtra have imposed a lockdown in 61 localities of the district until at least 13 October due to sharply rising COVID-19 infection rates. Only essential retail stores and health care facilities are allowed to open during the lockdown.
