Update 2022-01-17: According to media reports on Saturday (15 January), persons who have been to one of 153 high-risk areas within the last 21 days will no longer be allowed to transit through in Hong Kong until 15 February, meaning that transit from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland will no longer be possible. The Federal Foreign Office added on Monday (17 January) that the negative PCR test for all remaining transit passengers may be up to 72 hours old at departure (previously: 48 hours). Parts of public life in Hong Kong will be subject to mandatory proof of vaccination from 24 February.
