2022-03-29: Media reported on Tuesday (29 March), that since Saturday (26 March), there has been violence and unrest in the northern suburbs of Paris. On Monday night (28 March, local time), several cars, a dozen bins and an abandoned sports centre were set on fire in the areas of Sevran, Aulnay-sous-Bois, and Tremblay-en-France. On Saturday (26 March) security forces fatally shot a person in a vehicle during an inspection in Sevran.
Heightened security measures are to be expected, local traffic disruptions are possible. Violent incidents cannot be ruled out. Travellers should avoid demonstrations and follow instructions by authorities.
