2022-05-12: Media reported, that on Thursday (12 May), an Airbus 319 from Tibet Airlines operating flight TV9833 deviated from the runway during take-off at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport in Sichuan Province. Allegedly, the left side of the aircraft’s nose caught fire afterwards. All passengers were safely evacuated. There were 113 passengers and nine crew members on board. The injured passengers were only lightly injured. The airplane was heading to Nyingchi Mainling Airport in Tibet.
Local traffic disruptions are possible. Travellers are advised to avoid the scene of the accident and follow instructions by security forces.
