As a result, the airport terminal cannot be accessed at this time and significant disruptions are to be expected.
2022-10-17: On Monday morning (17 October, local time), security personnel at Charleroi Airport near Brussels went on strike. In the course of the strike, security personnel blocked access to the airport building and the access road to the airport premises. Due to the strike, only a few passengers reached their flights on Monday.
In case of a strike, major air traffic disruptions are to be expected. Delays and flight cancellations are likely. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons.
