2022-11-17: According to the sources, the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has scheduled a 24 hour bank strike on Saturday (19 November) across the nation, against the growing attacks by the management towards the bank staff and their job security.
Heightened security measures as well as disruptions to traffic and public life are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
