2022-12-07: On Wednesday morning (07 December) at about 7:50 am (local time), several people were injured in the collision of two trains at Montcada station in Barcelona. According to the Spanish train company Renfe, the two trains were commuter connections on the way to Barcelona. Due to the accident, the R4, R7 and R12 train lines are disrupted. It is currently unclear why the trains collided.
Local traffic disruptions are possible. Travellers are advised to avoid the scene of the accident and follow instructions by security forces.
