2022-12-09: According to the sources, the Baghtoy Rikshawala Union has scheduled an indefinite strike from Monday (12 December) across Pune city, Maharashtra, demanding the government take action against “illegal” bike taxi services. Reportedly, the same strike was carried out by the union in November last regarding the same issue.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
