Germany, Strike, Level 2: Disruptions due to public transport strike in Hamburg – Germany

2023-02-01: According to reports, the employees of the Hamburger Hochbahn began a 24-hour strike on Wednesday at 3 am (1 February, local time). During this time, the metro and Hochbahn buses are not operating. Transport services operated by the Verkehrsbetriebe Hamburg-Holstein (VHH) are not impacted by this strike, this includes the trams and the HADAG ferries.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
