Update 2023-02-06 (3): According to reports from Monday (6 February), around 11,00 members of security forces are to be mobilised throughout the country on Tuesday (7 February) during the general strike and countrywide demonstrations against pension reform. 4,000 members of security forces will be stationed in Paris. Authorities are reportedly expecting between 900,000 and 1.1 million protesters to take to the streets on Tuesday. 70,000 people are expected to protest in Paris, where a demonstration will take place between the Opera and the Bastille. Yellow vest protesters and other groups are expected to participate in the demonstrations as well.
