2023-12-08: A violent attack by several miscreants was reported on Thursday (7 December) at around 6 pm (local time) in the vehicle of the security forces in Hauts de Vallauris District, Vallauris in the department of Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region. Reportedly, security forces used tear gas and defence ball launchers. No casualties were reported, and further investigation remains ongoing.
Heightened security measures and operations of security forces are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
