2024-01-04: Employees of the Telangana State Road Transportation Corporation have threatened to go on strike from Friday (5 January) if announced reforms, such as free bus travel for women, are not amended. The drivers of the long-distance bus network fear an overload of driving capacity.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
