2024-01-08: At least one person died, while another was injured, both belonging to Slovakian nationality, on Sunday (7 January) after an avalanche occurred on the slopes between the Glacier Jet and the Altecklift Valley station on the Mölltaler Gletscher, Flattach in Spittal an der Drau District, Carinthia Region. The incident happened in a ski area, which was closed due to adverse weather conditions, with no one on-site, and the lifts were not in operation.
