Update 2024-01-31 (1): According to reports, countrywide protests by farmers continued on Wednesday (31 January). Around 10,000 farmers were participating in protests on Wednesday (January 31) in around 100 locations on major roads countrywide. Convoys of tractors continued to approach several large cities, including Paris and Lyon. A convoy of tractors has also continued toward Rungis, even though authorities have warned farmers to stay away from there. Multiple people were arrested in Rungis on Wednesday (31 January) for interfering with traffic. Additional police officers with armoured vehicles have been deployed along the A6 highway. Farmers attempted to block a food market in Toulouse on Wednesday (31 January), however they were removed by police.
