2024-02-14: There is a bus transport strike in Göttingen on Wednesday (14 February). Bus services will remain suspended until 4:30 am (local time) on Thursday (15 February). A demonstration will take place in front of the Neues Rathaus at around 8 am (local time) on Wednesday (14 February).
Strikes are also planned in Braunschweig, Hanover, Osnabrück and Wolfsburg over the next few days. In Braunschweig, bus and train strikes are to take place on Monday and Tuesday (19 and 20 February).
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
