Myanmar, Armed Conflict / War, Level 4: Fighting between troops of the military government and various rebel groups in the north of the country – Myanmar [Update 67]

Update 2024-03-19 (2): Since Thursday (14 March), rebels from the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) have been fighting with the military junta for control of the city of Sumprabum (Sumprabum Township, Kachin). According to reports from Tuesday (19 March), the fighting is currently focused on a military camp not far from Sumprabum, after a large part of the town has already been taken by the rebel groups.

Update 2024-03-19 (1): Dozens of people were killed, while multiple others were injured on Monday (18 March) at around 1:45 am (local time) following airstrikes on villages in Rakhine State. Reportedly, Thar Dar, Minbya Township, and other villages are affected.
