Update 2024-05-06: According to reports, a tentative deal was reached between WestJet and the union representing maintenance engineers on Sunday evening (5 May, local time). Therefore, the work stoppage that was set to begin on Tuesday (7 May) has been averted. Members of the union still have to ratify the tentative agreement.
