Update 2024-05-06 (2): A significant power outage was reported on Monday morning (6 May, local time) which affected numerous populated areas across the country, with reports indicating a lack of electricity supply to around 492 localities. Thousands of households remained without power in Kharkiv Oblast. Additionally, the Sumy Oblast was particularly affected, with over 400,000 households experiencing blackouts, and 91 populated localities having no power supply, along with partial blackouts in 18 other areas.
Update 2024-05-06 (1): According to reports from Monday (6 May), dozens of airstrikes have been carried out across Kherson, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Luhansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia since Sunday (5 May). Over 120 settlements were targeted during the airstrikes. Clashes were also reported from Kharkiv, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk. The attacks also led to widespread power outages in Sumy and Kharkiv during the night to Monday (6 May). Over 400,000 households in Sumy were without power as a result. Power has been partially restored in some regions.
