2024-07-14: The taxi drivers’ union has scheduled a strike for Tuesday (23 July) at around 5 am (local time) across Bogotá. The strike will include a massive mobilisation. There will be nine concentration points in the city: Calle 170 with the northern highway, Suba, Engativá, Fontibón, Techo, the southern highway, Tunal, Santa Librada, and 27 south with tenth.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
