2024-07-23: The First South West bus workers and the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers union (RMT) have scheduled a 48-hour strike action for Tuesday (23 July). Reportedly, hundreds of bus workers will set up picket lines across England, including Penzance and Camborne in Cornwall County and Taunton in Somerset County.
If the strike proceeds as scheduled and is followed by enough workers, local traffic disruptions are to be expected. Before and after official strike hours, disruptions are also possible due to organisational reasons. Travellers should schedule additional time for their journey.
