Update 2024-10-21: A cargo aeroplane was shot down on Monday (21 October) at around 4 am (local time) in the Malha area, North Darfur, by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), who mistakenly believed it to be a Sudanese military bomber. However, evidence at the crash site suggests that the wreckage was an Ilyushin-76, a Kyrgyz aircraft involved in the UAE’s mission in support of the RSF. According to the source, no one survived the crash.
