Update 2024-12-08 (2): According to reports, clashes between the Sudanese army and the RSF took place in Blue Nile and White Nile States on Sunday (8 December). The RSF claimed to have captured the town of Bout (Blue Nile), however the government has denied this claim. However, the army stated that there were a number of RSF casualties in Bout. Clashes were also reported at the Joda border crossing with South Sudan in White Nile State.
Update 2024-12-08 (1): According to media reports, dozens of civilians were killed in an artillery attack on a petrol station in the south of Khartoum on Sunday (8 December).
