2025-01-02: At least one surfer was reported missing on Thursday (2 January) at around 7 pm (local time) following a suspected shark attack incident at Granites Beach, southwest of Streaky Bay, Tasmania. Reportedly, the beach has since been closed. A search operation remains ongoing into Friday (3 January).
Travellers should exercise caution and follow instructions by local authorities.
