2025-02-23: Tropical storm RAE has potentially impacted northern parts of the island on Monday (24 February) maximum sustained wind of 110 km/h and is located east-northeast of Suva. The cyclone is forecasted to intensify, reaching 148 km/h within 24 hours.
Heavy rainfalls are to be expected beforehand, which may cause floods, flash floods and landslides. Due to high winds, storm damage is possible in the areas directly affected by the tropical storm. (Air-)Traffic disruptions are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise elevated caution near mountainsides and rivers.
