2025-02-25: On Tuesday (26 February), the number 1 subway line was suspended between 215th Street in the Bronx and 145th Street in Manhattan, New York after a train hit an object at 191st Street station. The impact caused smoke after the object struck the third rail, prompting evacuations. Multiple people were injured.
