2022-08-22: According to the reports, Pratas Island has been subjected to a tropical depression which is about to hit the Islands between Wednesday (24 August) to Thursday (25 August) with a maximum wind speed between 90 kmph and 102 kmph.
Heavy rainfalls are to be expected beforehand, which may cause floods, flash floods and landslides. Due to high winds, storm damage is possible in the areas directly affected by the tropical storm. (Air-)Traffic disruptions are to be expected. Travellers are advised to exercise elevated caution near mountainsides and rivers.
