Update 2023-01-31: According to reports, approximately one million people countrywide are expected to participate in demonstrations against raising the retirement age during the national general strike on Tuesday (31 January). Walkouts are expected in the transport and education sectors, with domestic rail services and Paris metro services expected to be the most impacted. It is also expected that only one in every three intercity high-speed trains operated by SNCF will operate on Tuesday (31 January) as well. Minor disruptions to international Eurostar services are anticipated.
