2023-12-18: According to reports on Monday (18 December), there is flooding in the states of Kelantan and Terengganu due to persistent rainfall. In Kelantan, a total of 3,247 people were evacuated in the district of Pasir Mas, and around 2,340 in the districts of Dungun, Kemaman, Marung and Setiu in the state of Terengganu. More rain is expected over the next few days.
Local traffic disruptions are to be expected, floods and landslides remain possible in the coming days. Travellers should exercise heightened caution, especially near rivers/the sea and mountainslopes and follow instructions by authorities.
