2024-04-18: A national strike has been scheduled for Tuesday (30 April), by the Association of State Workers (ATE) in protest the adjustment plan and economic policies of the administration in the country.
Heightened security measures as well as disruptions to traffic and public life are to be expected. Violent clashes between protesters and security forces are possible. Travellers are advised to exercise caution, to strictly avoid demonstrations, road blockades, large gatherings, and deployments of security forces, and to follow instructions from security forces.
