Update 2024-05-17 (2): According to sources from Friday (17 May), authorities have managed to contain a fire at Russia’s Tuapse oil refinery that broke out after a Ukrainian drone attack in the Krasnodar. Additionally, explosions were reported on Friday morning (17 May, local time) following a Ukrainian drone attack on the city of Novorossiysk. Reportedly, Russian air defence systems destroyed dozens of drones in the area. Furthermore, a power line was damaged following the attack leading to a blackout in the area.
Update 2024-05-17 (1): According to sources from Thursday (16 May), several people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on the village of Oktyabrsky, in the Russian border region of Belgorod. Another drone had targeted a gas station near the village of Bessonovka.
