2024-05-30: The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) at Canada’s WestJet Airlines issued a 72-hour strike notice for Saturday (1 June) to the airline’s management and the government unless a resolution is reached through further negotiations. Details are still emerging.
In case of a strike, major air traffic disruptions are to be expected. Delays and flight cancellations are likely.
