Update 2024-06-18: According to the latest reports from Tuesday (18 June), several people died following landslides within the Meizhou city area in Guangdong Province, while multiple people are still missing. A landslide was reported on Monday night (17 June, local time) near Ürümqi, Xinjiang, causing widespread damage. Reportedly, several people went missing, towns were inundated with mud, houses were destroyed, roads collapsed, and mountain slopes slid. Rivers overflowing their banks have submerged large areas.
