Hong Kong, Transport Incident, Level 3: Air traffic restrictions at Cathay Pacific on 2 and 3 September – Hong Kong

2024-09-02: Air traffic disruptions are affecting Cathay Pacific on Monday (2 September). Dozens of flights have so far been cancelled and many more are being delayed due to a fleet inspection after engine component failures had been identified in the Airbus 350. Flight CX383 to Zurich had been forcefully returned on Monday (2 September), after the failure had been noticed. The inspection will last until at least Tuesday (3 September).
Further air traffic disruptions are possible. Passengers travelling via the affected airlines are advised to contact their tour operator about the current flight status in advance of their journey to the airport.
