Update 2024-12-18: According to the sources from Tuesday (17 December), Sudan’s civil war has intensified over the past 72 hours across multiple regions. In White Nile state, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched a significant offensive targeting Kenana Air Base and Ad Douiem, with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) intercepting several RSF drones. Clashes were also reported in El Awj. In North Kordofan, RSF drone strikes near Wad Ashana killed at least one SAF soldier, while heavy clashes near El Ghabsha and Umm Ruwaba left multiple people dead and multiple others injured, with civilians reportedly among the casualties. In Al Jazirah, an SAF airstrike on Wad Madani killed multiple civilians. In Khartoum, SAF ambushed RSF forces near Jebel Kabashi, killing multiple fighters. In North Darfur, SAF artillery and airstrikes were killing dozens of people.
