2025-01-27: According to reports on Monday (27 January), at least four tourists have been attacked and injured by dingoes on the Australian island of K’gari within a week. According to the authorities, the most recent incident occurred on Sunday (26 January) when a two-year-old child was bitten on the leg by a dingo in a parking lot near Lake McKenzie. A dingo had bitten a girl as recently as Thursday (23 January). The park authority responded with more patrols and more warning signs. Parents have also been asked to take extra care of their children and to carry sticks with them in case of danger.
