2025-03-28: A very strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred in Mynamar on Friday (28 March), also affecting Thailand including Bangkok at around 1:30 pm (local time). Residents were evacuated via the stairs of high-rise buildings and hotels in the densely populated centre of Bangkok. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
