Update 2021-02-05: From 15 February, people entering the United Kingdom from high-risk areas will have to quarantine themselves in a hotel for at least ten days. More than 30 countries are affected, including Portugal, the United Arab Emirates, all states in South America and several in southern Africa. The measure is mainly aimed at British travellers returning to the United Kingdom, as entry from these countries is already prohibited for people not resident in the UK. For those entering from other countries, a ten-day self-isolation period continues to apply.
