Update 2021-04-18: The state of emergency, which currently applies to Osaka, Hyogo, Tokyo, Kyoto and Okinawa prefectures, will be extended to Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba and Aichi prefectures starting Tuesday (20 April). The emergency regulations will allow for stricter containment measures.
