Update 2021-05-25: According to current information from the Federal Foreign Office on Tuesday (25 May), Germany has been on the United Arab Emirates’ “Green List” since Sunday (23 May). Travellers on direct flights from Germany therefore no longer have to go into quarantine in the UAE; however, the PCR tests on the 6th and 12th day, which are subject to a charge, are still mandatory. Furthermore, it should be noted that a quarantine in the UAE (e.g. after entry from a country that is not on the “Green List”) cannot be terminated prematurely, not even for the return journey to Germany.
